Meets National Training Standards

Committe on National Security Systems

The College of Technology at Wilmington University was pleased to learn that the Committee on National Security Systems (CNSS) recognized one of its programs. After close evaluation of Wilmington University’s Bachelor of Science in Computer and Network Security degree program the committee found that the coursework meets the strict criteria in two of their National Training Standards for: Information Systems Security Professionals (NSTISSI 4011) and System Administrators (CNSS 4013).

The National Information Assurance Education and Training Programs (NIETP), a sector of CNSS, develops Information Assurance training standards and accesses current courses and programs throughout the country. This assessment assures the very finest preparation of students who will go on to be entrusted with the most critical and secure types of information.

Wilmington University’s Computer and Network Security Program will go on to receive recognition and official certification at the June 2010 Committee on National Security Systems (CNSS) Awards Ceremony which will be held at the 14th Colloquium for Information Systems Security Education (CISSE).

The Computer and Network Security (CNS) program at Wilmington University provides students with credentials specializing in digital information security, information assurance, and computer forensics. Students trained in CNS will be fully equipped to work within today’s rapidly expanding job market.
